Since 2000, I have been making small paintings on wood. I call them “Tondale,” a verbal combination of tondos (circular paintings) and “mandalas,” (meditative images). The tondale are made of encaustic paint, colored pencil, oil pastel and (often, but not always) cold wax on plywood.

Desde el año 2000, me dedico a crear pequeñas pinturas sobre madera. Las llamo «Tondale», una combinación de tondos (pinturas circulares) y mandalas (imágenes meditativas). Las tondale están hechas con pintura encáustica, lápices de colores, pasteles al óleo y (a menudo, pero no siempre) cera fría sobre madera contrachapada.
